Ethics
"To promote and preserve the public trust inherent in professional appraisal practice, an appraiser must observe the highest standards of professional ethics" (from Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice - USPAP).
The Ethics rule contains four sections: Conduct, Management, Confidentiality, and Record Keeping. These standards are set to ensure the appraiser provides honest, impartial, and professionally competent appraisal reports. These standards are held in high regard by R Pippin Appraisals and are conveyed on all assignments engaged. Therefore no assignments will be completed based on a predetermined value or any other unethical guidelines.
Beyond this, the Competency rule ensures that all assignments accepted by R Pippin Appraisals are in accordance with our knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, or alternatives will be discussed.
